Ammon News – Yarmouk University and Libya’s Misurata University on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation in science and research.

The memorandum of understanding was signed during a meeting with a delegation from the University of Misurata chaired by Dr. Mohammad Al-Sharkasi and in the presence of the Libyan cultural adviser, Dr. Ahmad Dweik.

The President of Yarmouk University, Dr. Islam Massad, expressed the university’s willingness to strengthen academic integration and cooperation with various academic institutions and Libyan universities, based on the strong brotherly ties between the two peoples , in a way that responds to common aspirations in terms of strengthening scientific research. and academic work.

He said that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding comes as a realization of the common ideas between the two parties and their permanent aspirations to develop education, scientific research and scientific and academic relations between the two universities, expressing the will of Yarmouk University for academic and research cooperation with various Libyan universities at different levels.

Al-Sharkasi, for his part, highlighted the vision of Misurata University to stand out in the field of scientific research, and play its role in the sustainable development of society, by strengthening its scientific and academic cooperation with various Arab and international universities, including Yarmouk University.

The memorandum of understanding stipulated the conduct of joint research between the two universities, the improvement of the efficiency of their research centers, the joint supervision of master’s and doctoral theses and the participation in the implementation of scientific projects. and research projects supported by the European Union.

It was also about leveraging the digital transformation and quality systems in place at Yarmouk University by Misurata University.
