Less than a month ago, Amber Forgani opened Culture Coffee Co., a local family-run coffee shop, just around the corner from UTC’s West Campus housing.

With insight, Forgani has already started advertising to his student clients. They get 10% of their purchase with their student card, and she has already hosted Culture Coffee’s first giveaway via Instagram.

“I’m younger, so I’m totally open to working with students and doing whatever they want to do here,” Forgani said.

His cafe is open to anyone trying to sell their artwork as well as musicians who want to bring their music out.

The paintings are organized on the wall with a small “for sale” sign. Each table has its own power outlet, as well as the other seating options.

The store has dark wood high tables, brightly colored reading nooks, and Moroccan-themed bathrooms. This uniqueness is something that franchise cafes typically lack.

“We are not Starbucks,” said Forgani, as “Culture Coffee CO,” lit on the LED panel behind her. “We don’t have any strikes. Our coffee tastes better and we are a more relaxed environment.

Regarding the Starbucks on campus, she said it was convenient but lacked the “feeling of homey comfort.”

Gabrielle Henry, a junior at UTC, appreciated the interior design of the cafe.

“I just think it’s the cutest little place, have you seen the bathroom?” ” she said.

Culture Coffee Co. has been a dream of Amber Forgani and her father who runs it with her. Through this establishment, Forgani tries to create a feeling of inclusiveness.

“The principle behind Culture Coffee is to bring all cultures together in one place where they can meet and drink coffee together,” said Forgani.

You can visit Culture Coffee Co. at 610 Georgia Ave. For more information, see their website here.
